Hello everyone! Regular readers of the blog will know we recently became new parents, and one thing you’re definitely getting through a lot of with a newborn is nappies! Well-known brand Pampers offers a loyalty club scheme in the form of Pampers Club so today I thought I’d review if it’s worth your time.
Just to note our review is based on Pampers Club in the UK – I’m aware that there are a number of international versions of Pampers Club that may differ in valuation and approach.
Quick Verdict on Pampers Club
We think Pampers themselves are a great product as a nappy, but Pampers Club doesn’t offer a compelling reason along to choose them over other brands. It was much more effort scanning than we felt was worth it for the end discount.
How we tested Pampers Club
As new parents we actively have used Pampers throughout most of our son’s early days. I’ve therefore purchased many packs and been rigorously scanning the QR codes to build up my points total to try and take advantage of the discount vouchers.
What is Pampers Club?
Pampers Club is a free loyalty app that allows parents to earn points by scanning codes found inside Pampers nappy and wipe packaging.
These points can then be redeemed for money-off coupons, free packs of nappies, or branded baby merchandise
Why use Pampers?
I did not go into parenthood intending to use Pampers for nappies, simply as they are more expensive than the supermarket brands in general. Parents will attest to the fact that you definitely go through a lot of nappies with young children, and so anything you can do to reduce the cost is appreciated.
We were gifted a couple of packets of Pampers and I found that whilst the supermarket nappies were generally very good, I had the odd blowout/leak which simply did not occur with the Pampers. As a result I did switch (but if cheaper supermarket nappies like Aldi Mamia or Morrisons Nutmeg are working for you from a cost perspective I’d stick with them).
So we do think there’s an argument Pampers are a premium product that’s a step above, and if you’re also having issues with other nappies are potentially worth your money.
However given the higher pricing, you obviously would want to try and save as much as possible – which is where Pampers Club comes in. We want to assess to what extent the cost

What is the cheapest way to buy Pampers?
Beyond using also using Pampers Club, you’ll want to shop around for deals and I was usually able to find something.
I found that buying in relative bulk and going for the large Jumbo+ packs generally represented the best value, or going for Amazon where they had super-jumbo 180 or 240 nappy packs.
I also found Tesco became my go-to for Supermarkets as ran pretty frequent baby and toddler events or had multi buy promotions on making it worth it, but we’d recommend hunting around.
And finally Boots also tended to have some good multibuy deals which if you have a Boots Advantage Card, could be stacked with the enhanced payout rate if you sign up for their baby club which we mention in our UK shops with baby discounts article.
How do I sign up for Pampers Club?
Simply download the Pampers Club App and enter your details – this will enable do you start adding nappies.
Extra Pampers Club Signup Bonus
If you use our referral code of D37100D you can also nab an extra 200 points as an immediate signup bonus. (Full disclosure, we’ll also receive the same reward here if you do so).
Adding nappies to Pampers Club
How do I add nappies to my Pampers Club Account?
First, you’ll obviously need to have registered in the Pampers App as per above.
Open your pack of Pampers carefully. On the top of the inside of the packet the nappies themselves are in you’ll find a QR code and an alphanumeric code.
Click add in the Pampers Club App and you’ll be given the option to use either method – however I’ll note in terms of the practice of this, Pampers still have some work to do here:
The QR code method is obviously the speedy one in theory, however in practice I unfortunately found it a bit temperamental, often getting the code wrong in ways I could quite understand how it happened (for instance using a B instead of an A). It worked sometimes, but not all of the time which was a bit frustrating.
As the letters and numbers code is quite long, whilst it’s not the end of the world, it’s slightly labourious to do, especially when you’re grappling with so many things as a parent – so they do need to make this easy.
How many Pampers Club points do I get when scanning in nappies?
You’ll receive a basic amount of 1 point per nappy purchased for a scan – so if you’ve purchased a pack of 60 nappies, you’ll get 60 points.
You’ll then also get a bonus of an additional 300 points on every 3rd pack you scan.
Redeeming Pampers Club Rewards Points
How do I redeem my Pampers Club Reward Points?
Within the App you’ll see a Pampers Club rewards section. Clicking into this will take you to a screen where you can redeem your points, either for a paper coupon or an e-coupon, but you’ll need to check where you can spend it as each option is limited to certain stores.
Simply select the option you want and hit reedem – but before you do so, there’s a couple of further oddities you’ll need to consider.
Firstly he coupons aren’t a generic one that applies across the Pampers brands as a whole, but applicable to specific products only – so it’s worth thinking about what you need before you redeem the voucher.
Secondly, you’ll need to be sure the voucher type you’ve chosen can be redeemed at your store of choice. You’ll see little round bubbles at the bottom of the picture of each object which tell you what stores that voucher will work it.
Here’s an example of what that redemption page looks like in the Pampers Club App:

What stores does a Pampers Club redemption work in?
Here’s the full list of shops the vouchers will work in at time of writing:
Remember you can also combine any purchase with the Supermarket loyalty schemes where applicable.
How many points do I need for a Pampers Club Reward Redemption?
Here’s a list of the present options for redeeming a reward with Pampers Club and their cost – obviously these may be subject to change but are correct at time of writing.
- £1.25 off a single pack of nappy wipes is 800 points
- £2 off any nappy or nappy pants pack is 1000 points
- £3 off a multipack of nappy wipes is 1700 points
- £3.50 off Ninjamas Pyjama Packs is 1700 points
- £5 off nappies is 2300 points
- £9 off a Jumbo+ Pampers pack is 3900 points
- £10 off selected nappies or nappy pants is 4300 points
- £20 off selected nappies or nappy pants is 8400 points.
What is the best value use of a Pampers Club Redemption?
Whilst it requires a bit of saving, we think the £9 Jumbo+ redemption will usually be the way to go – this is because these packs tend to be the better value ones in terms of overall cost before factoring in any vouchers, but the voucher points cost to benefit here is only marginally better with other options.
As a result, we think this gets you the best overall benefit when combining those factors.
Is Pampers Club worth it?
We want to like Pampers Club as we think the underlying product is good, but there’s a few factors which hold Pampers Club back, and we suspect most people will give up on it before reaching a reward.
QR Code Scanning Challenges
Firstly at present the scanning of underlying codes is too cumbersome – I’m aware Pampers are working on this so hopefully it gets fixed soon, but the reality is unless you’re very determined, many will simply get tired of entering long codes. The QR approach is a good one if Pampers can get it working, it’s just not consistent enough at present.
Number of Packs Required to Hit Discount
The second issue is that whilst we advocate all moneysaving is worth it here at the Financial Wilderness, the cashback rate on Pampers Club is not so bad but the friction is frustrating to get there. Let’s run some numbers:
To reach the £9 Jumbo+ Reward redemption I recommend above, I need 3900 points. In order to amass that, I need quite a lot of nappies.
Let’s say I only buy Jumbo+ packs – these are £13 at Tesco and contain 80 nappies each in two packs. I’ll get 80 points per pack and 300 on every third pack. (I’ll note you can improve on that £13 with multiple discounts, but I’m going to assume this as a base)
I did the maths and hitting that 3900 requires a mighty 23 packs of nappies, and whilst I definitely go through a lot of nappies, realistically that many packets that take me through a full growth development stage.
Let’s break down the spending a number of nappies requires and how much cashback it gives
| Milestone | Boxes Bought (£13 each) | Packs Scanned | Total Points | Total Spend | Effective “Cashback” |
| The First Box | 1 | 2 | 160 | £13.00 | 0% |
| First Bonus Hit | 1.5 | 3 | 540 | £19.50 | ~3.1% |
| Halfway Mark | 6 | 12 | 2,160 | £78.00 | ~4.5% |
| The £9 Voucher | 11.5 | 23 | 3,940 | £149.50 | ~6.02% |
In practice, I’ve reached there about the 7 month mark (admittedly not with fully consistent use of Pampers) – which is a long time to be scanning nappies for £9 off.
The return rate of my £9 discount is effectively just over of a 6% discount, which isn’t terrible, especially if we can use some deals to reduce the cost of the nappies further. However, it’s taken so long to get there that the cost to effort has not been worth it, and that return rate is lower with the smaller redemptions.
Other Benefits of Pampers Club
There are a couple of other bits of Pampers Club which I thought worth mentioning
Parenting Advice and Development
If you enter in your babies age and details into Pampers Club, you can access relevant parenting advice which highlights what you should be seeing at different stages of development and things to consider.
It’s not radically different from what you can find elsewhere, but I thought it was well done, well written and acted as a prompt a couple of times to try out a few new activities with my baby.
Nappy Fit Tracker
I also liked that you could enter your baby’s measurement and the Pampers Club app would advise you on the best nappy size fit for your child.
Obviously this is in Pampers self interest to market their products, but it’s an actually useful tool regardless of if you are using Pampers or not.
Pampers Club vs. Supermarket Own Brand Nappies
One question we also wanted to answer in this review is if the savings from Pampers Club outweighed the savings you would get from buying well-reviewed cheaper supermarket nappies.
I’ve put a comparison table below using Aldi’s Mamia range at my comparison, using typical prices and and assuming the purchase of the largest packs you can get.
Pampers Club vs. Aldi Mamia: 2026 Cost & Value Comparison
| Feature | Pampers (with Club Rewards) | Aldi Mamia (Standard) |
| Typical Cost per Nappy | ~15.2p (After £9 voucher applied) | ~7.2p |
| Loyalty Scheme | Pampers Club App: 6% effective return. | None: Low prices are the “reward.” |
| Effort Required | High: Must scan every bag and wait months for a voucher. | Zero: Instant savings at the till. |
The conclusion becomes pretty clear fast that even
Overall Review of Pampers Club
The idea behind Pampers Club is a good one as an incentive, and the cashback rate isn’t that terrible – especially if you stack it with other loyalty schemes from retailers like Tesco Clubcard or Boots Advantage Card. Ultimately it’s free money if you can be bothered to scan the packs.
However that’s a big if – where Pampers Club doesn’t come out so well is the discount to effort ratio, as scanning all the packs presently takes too much time for a relatively small benefit.
As a result our rating for Pampers Club is that there’s some savings if you can be bothered, but not an essential loyalty scheme and we’d view it as a nice to have.
Finally whilst we do recommend Pampers as a product, our conclusion was that Pampers Club doesn’t offset the premium that you’d pay over supermarket nappies – if you find these work for you and suit your baby, that remains the cheaper option from a moneysaving point of view.
Advantages
- Some legitimate “free money” saving on a good product
- Can use on a wider range of products from the Pampers Brand
- Can cash in at most supermarkets and combine with UK Supermarket loyalty schemes.
Disadvantages
- Scanning/entering codes takes too much effort.
- Many packs of nappies required to get a substantial saving.
- Cost saving doesn’t beat supermarket own brand.
