Hello everyone! I think most people in their lives will have headed into a PizzaExpress at some point, given let’s face it, Pizza is something that appeals to all of us! However there’s now a loyalty club in the form of PizzaExpress Rewards, and we’re assessing if it’s worth it to save you some money today.
Since the financial crisis, PizzaExpress had turned into one of those restaurants that you could always find some form of offer on rather than paying full price! With PizzaExpress Club Rewards the company has tried to internalise this into an easy to use approach designed to keep you visiting and hopefully offer you better value.

Quick Verdict on PizzaExpress Club Rewards
We think PizzaExpress Club Rewards is an excellent loyalty scheme, offering some really quite comprensive rewards.
Free dough balls are good at the low levels, but the rewards on hitting the Gold tier status including free kids meals and Romana upgrades have real value.
What is PizzaExpress Club Rewards?
PizzaExpress Rewards is a stamp based rewards club that also has a tiering system based on frequency of visit.
However it’s a little different from other loyalty schemes – the traditional model here is to offer you a free pizza after a number of visits. With PizzaExpress Rewards you get a number of freebies or offers with every visit that you make instead.
As you visit more, you’ll move up the tiers of the club – doing this will get you multiple freebies of a better nature.
We quite like this style of loyalty – whilst it’s obviously designed to get you in their restaurants and spending, the reward with each meal does provide a good incentive to come and visit.

I’ll put up front is one immediate benefit of signing up for PizzaExpress Rewards is that you get a Free Dough Balls benefit straight away from your first visit!

How do I earn PizzaExpress Club Rewards Stamps?
There are three ways you can earn PizzaExpress Rewards Stamps, and you’ll need the app for all of them:
- You can earn a full stamp by visiting a PizzaExpress restaurant and spending more than £10.
- You can earn a half stamp by ordering online via PizzaExpress. You must do this via PizzaExpress App – third party delivery companies like Deliveroo won’t count.
- You can earn a quarter stamp by scanning a code from a PizzaExpress pizza from a Supermarket.
How do I earn my PizzaExpress Club Rewards Stamp in store?
When you are at the restaurant and sat down, use the app to check in with your table number. When you pay, your stamp will be automatically applied.
I’m part of a group, will we all earn a PizzaExpress Club Rewards stamp?
Yes, but all members of the group will need to check into the app at the table – you will need to meet a minimum spend of £10 per person to get stamps. Checking in this way is helpful in any case as it will allow you to split the bill.
Where can I download the PizzaExpress Club Rewards app?

Important Note: Limitations on Stamps for Collection Orders
As above, you cannot get stamps for delivery via third parties like Deliveroo or Uber Eats – you MUST use PizzaExpresses app for Delivery or Collection.
What are the PizzaExpress Club Rewards Loyalty Tiers?
As you collect the stamps per above, you’ll start to hit different levels of Reward Tiers. These are really the core benefit of PizzaExpress Rewards, and give the real benefits of the scheme.
Here we’ll explain the PizzaExpress Rewards Tiers, with what you earn at each level, what you can claim at each at the best value reward.
Bronze PizzaExpress Rewards
From 0-2 complete stamps, you’ll be at PizzaExpress Bronze Rewards.
This will gift you:
- A free side or dough balls on every visit
- A free Birthday dessert reward
- 25% off a Piccolo Meal
What side dishes are available?
- Broccolini (Brocolli Spears with Garlic)
- Mac and Cheese
- Mixed Salad
- Halloumi Bites
- Rainbow Slaw
- Polenta Chips
What is the best value use of the PizzaExpress Bronze Side Reward?
The Mac and Cheese and Halloumi Bites are the most expensive side dishes so the best usage (however, there’s pretty minimal price differences here – so go for what you’re going to enjoy the most!)
Silver PizzaExpress Rewards
Once you hit 3-9 stamps, you’ll earn Silver status, which is where you start to get into multiple rewards start to get introduced.
This will give you:
- Free side or Dough Balls on every visit
- A free Romana Upgrade
- A free Birthday dessert reward
- A free Piccolo kids meal
- A free soft drink
- A free tea or coffee
At this point the rewards are pretty good! The free Romana upgrade in particular is worth having.
Gold PizzaExpress Rewards
Once you’ve over 10 stamps, you’ll hit Gold Rewards, where big multiple rewards start to apply.
Gold Rewards will give you:
- Free Delivery via App
- Free Dough balls or side on every visit
- A free Romana upgrade to your pizza on every visit
- A free Hot Drink
- A free soft drink or large water
- A free Piccolo kids meal
- 20% off all kids or adults pizza making parties
At this point, this is pretty good! Whilst there isn’t a substantial difference to Silver level here, the additional free hot drink is a nice bonus. You used to get a free dessert as well but unfortunately that’s no longer the case

What is the best way to earn PizzaExpress Gold Tier and Stamps?
Despite only offering a quarter stamp per scan, the supermarket pizzas are often the easiest and cheapest way to get to the higher tiers.
The pizzas from the supermarket are usually cheaper to begin with and are frequently on offer, meaning you can build up stamps quite quickly this way. (I also find PizzaExpress also get the odd yellow sticker discount which is another great way of racking up those stamps quickly).
PizzaExpress have also run occasional promotions where you either earn double stamps on purchases including in-store pizzas.
They’ve also run occasional (sometimes unadvertised) upgrades to Silver or Gold status on first scan for new users of the app to try and lure you in, but there’s no guarantee of this and shouldn’t place reliance on.
How do I cash in my PizzaExpress Club Rewards?
If in store
Once you’ve checked in at your table via the app, you’ll be able to bring up your bill. You’ll see an option where you’ll be able to choose and apply your rewards (and then see the effect on the bill).
If ordering for Delivery or Collection
You’ll be given the option to apply any available rewards in the app as you reach the checkout screen.
Traps to Avoid with PizzaExpress Club Rewards
Overall Review of PizzaExpress Club Rewards
We think PizzaExpress Club Rewards is a great loyalty scheme overall (whilst noting as a cautionary point that PizzaExpress basic prices can be fairly expensive, which is where the half-star loss comes in.)
If you like PizzaExpress pizza, the rewards are substantial enough here to really justify using the scheme.
We really like the principle of a reward scheme that gives you something on every visit, and that most of those items are things that will have real value, rather than the throwaway bits no-one really wants.
We also like that at both Silver Gold level the rewards are relatively substantial and valuable, and do reward those who are the most frequent users of the chain.

- PizzaExpress can be relatively expensive at base prices, although the bonuses do help offset this.
- Can’t combine rewards and other offers like set menus/gift vouchers.
FAQ’s about PizzaExpress Club Rewards
So long as you hit the £10 minimum spend, you’ll earn your PizzaExpress Rewards stamp on the transaction.
However, you can’t apply the additional tier rewards that would normally apply per above on a standard PizzaExpress rewards.
The same principle applies to paying with gift vouchers, or using redeemed Tesco Clubcard vouchers.
No, once you’ve paid for your meal you can’t go back and ask for them to apply later – so remember to use them!
Once you’ve earned a tier status, you’ll keep it for 1 year from the date that you earn it.
One the PizzaExpress App, if you click “learn more” and scroll down to just under the stamp card, it will tell you how many stamps you need to earn to keep your tier status for another year.
No, it’s an entirely app based scheme.
No, you will only get the benefits when using the PizzaExpress App and therefore their own delivery services.
Yes, so long as your tier status allows it you can apply multiple rewards to your order, barring the set menu exceptions above.
You can use the receipt in order to add a stamp, but it’s much more fiddly than checking in at the restaurant and we wouldn’t recommend it.
Using third party vouchers which discount the meal like Meercat Meals or Tesco Clubcard vouchers will generally earn you a stamp, but you won’t be able to claim the wider set of rewards.
I will note we have had multiple reports that getting free dough balls is one think that does work when using these approaches. We haven’t tried this ourselves and so can’t guarantee it, but we thought worth mentioning!
