Hello everyone! Hotel giant Accor has brought all of it’s various brands together into a single loyalty programme, known as Accor Live Limitless. This is helpful when travelling, as it’s not limited to just a single chain as as such, you’re far more likely to make use of it. Today, we’re reviewing Accor Live Limitless to ask our classic question – is it worth it?
It’s fair to say Accor Live Limitless is one of the more complex loyalty schemes we’ve reviewed, so we’ve tried to break down the different elements of it into manageable pieces…..
How does Accor Live Limitess Loyalty work?
Accor Live Limitless loyalty works in a slightly different way to other loyalty schemes. Instead of rewarding you per nights stayed, they reward you with points for every 10 EUR equivalent spent at one of their hotels (a full list can be found at the bottom of this article here).
The nice thing about this approach is that it covers all spending, where many other hotel programmes only consider reward value for the room cost. So if you have a drink at the bar or visit the spa at the hotel, it all counts towards earning you points.
The scheme is entirely revenue based, and unlike some of the other hotel loyalty schemes, there’s limited options for earning points outside of a hotel.
There are two key metrics that provide rewards:
A tier system which provides you with additional benefits the more you stay and spend at Accor Hotels.
A points system where you can cash in earned rewards for discounts.
They slightly interlink, as your tier will multiply the amount of points earned, but also your points earned can determine your tier. It’s relatively complex, so I’m starting with describing the tiers, then will cover the points and bring it together in an overall conclusion.
How do Accor Live Limitless Tiers work?
You’ll move up through the Accor Live Limitless Tiers as you stay more. You can hit either a “number of night” or a spend threshold to advance Tier.
Below are the benefits and qualification criteria for each Tier. There is also a “point multiplier” bonus as you move up Tiers – we’ll cover below in the section on how Accor Live Limitless points are worth.
Accor Live Limitless Classic
How do I qualify for Accor Live Limitless Classic?
You’ll earn Accor Live Limitless Classic membership simply by signing up, with no qualifying requirements – however it’s worth doing if visiting an Accor Hotel because it comes with a number of benefits.
What benefits do I get with Accor Live Limitless Classic?
The key benefits are a special discounted rate for members when booking through the Accor Website (worth it, we got 10% off the best other price we could find online).
Beyond this, you’ll also be hooked into the Accor system for easier check in and check out.
Accor Live Limitless Silver
How do I qualify for Accor Live Limitless Silver?
You’ll earn Accor Live Limitless Silver status either after staying for 10 qualifying nights, or earning 2,000 status points (which at standard earnings rate is the equivalent of an 800 EUR equivalent spend).
Silver provides the benefits of classic plus priority check in, and priority for having a late check out, although it’s still subject to availability.
You’ll also get a free welcome drink. Expect this vary significantly by the specific capabilities of the property but can be nice at the top end – we got a free cocktail at the Sofitel New York.
Accor Live Limitless Gold
How do I qualify for Accor Live Limitless Gold?
You’ll earn Accor Live Limitless Gold status either after staying for 30 qualifying nights, or earning 7,000 status points (which at standard earnings rate is the equivalent of an 2,800 EUR equivalent spend).
What benefits do I get with Accor Live Limitless Platinum?
All of the previous, plus priority early check in as well as late check out (again subject to availability).
The big one at this level though is a complimentary room upgrade if one is available at the point of check in.
Apparently you also get a welcome amenity which sounds fascinating, but I’ve never seen one!
Accor Live Limitless Platinum
How do I qualify for Accor Live Limitless Platinum?
You’ll earn Accor Live Limitless Platinum status either after staying for 60 qualifying nights, or earning 14,000 status points (which at standard earnings rate is the equivalent of an 5,600 EUR equivalent spend).
What benefits do I get with Accor Live Limitless Platinum?
All of the previous, plus at this level, you’ve start to access the benefit of having a “Suite Night Upgrade”, which guarantee a room booking being upgraded to a Suite where possible at the brands classified under Luxury and Premium only.
In practice, this means as soon as you reach Platinum status you’ll earn the ability do this for 2 nights – then you’ll earn another “Suite Night Upgrade” for every additional 4,000 status points earned (equivalent of a 1,600 EUR equivalent spent at standard earnings rate).
If you’re staying in the Asia-Pacific region as well, you’ll also get a free breakfast as well, so long as that hotel serves breakfast. And if the hotel has an Executive Lounge, you’ll get access to that as well.
Finally there a slightly strange but definitely unique benefit that for a non-urgent medical matter, the hotel can apparently arrange medical teleconsultation with AXA – although in practice, we hope you won’t need this one……
Accor Live Limitless Diamond
How do I qualify for Accor Live Limitless Diamond?
You’ll earn Accor Live Limitless Diamond status after earning 26,000 status points (which at standard earnings rate is the equivalent of an 10,400 EUR equivalent spend).
What benefits do I get with Accor Live Limitless Platinum?
All of the previous, plus you’ll get breakfast at the weekend at all hotels, not just those in the Asia-Pacific region.
You’ll also get 100 EUR of vouchers worth 10 EUR each towards food and spa services at Accor Hotels.
You’ll also be able to gift the person of your choice a Gold status as well – useful if you’ve got someone else in the family that also travels on business.
How do Accor Live Limitless Points work?
How do I earn Accor Live Limitless Points?
Every time you spend 10 EUR at a participating Accor hotel, you’ll earn a number of points in exchange. The exact earning is complex to say the least.
For the vast majority of the Accor brands, you’ll earn a base earnings rate of 25 points per 10 EUR. At some of the midrange/budget brands (like Ibis, Ibis Styles and Adagio) you’ll earn a slightly reduced rate.

As you advance up the Tier Levels, a multiplier will then also apply. At Silver level, you’ll earn 31 points instead of 25. At Gold it’s 37, and at Platinum it’s 44 where it plateaus (there’s no further multiplier for Diamond status).
How can I use Accor Live Limitless Points?
You can cash in your Accor Live Limitless points at a rate of 2000 points being used for a 40 EUR reduction in your bill.
You can also convert your Accor Live Limitless points into other reward scheme points with various partners (such as airlines) – whilst nice to have the alternatives, these are not as rewarding as re-using them with Accor direction.
What are Accor Live Limitless Points worth?
2000 points for 40 EUR works out at a cashback rate of a very generous 5%, and increases further to 8.8% at the increased earnings rates associated with the higher tiers.
In terms of cash value per point, Accor Live Limitless points are worth about 2.2p each.
Overall Review: Is Accor Live Limitless worth it?
We think Accor Live Limitless is a good if confusing scheme that requires a lot of thought about the different layers.
Plus points of Accor Live Limitless
Earnings rate: The earnings rate is favourable compared to many other hotels schemes, especially when used in conjunction with the book direct discount for membership of the programme which we did find was often the cheapest rate we could get.
Low cash out requirement: The ability to cash out a reward at 2000 points is relatively low and means actually getting something out of the programme is achievable to most users.
Easy to get lower status: Whilst the benefits of lower status points are fairly minimal, they are relatively easy to acquire rather than being completely unattainable for non-business travellers.
Lots of brands: Whilst Accor does tend to be somewhat underrepresented in the US, the range of hotels you can earn points and Tier status on is really excellent, and escapes the threat of some other hotels brands of severely limiting your choice if you want to collect loyalty rewards whilst travelling.
Minus points of Accor Live Limitless
Confusing: With varying rates across different brands and some benefits available only in certain places, the flipside of the benefits of having many brands is the difficulty of making a scheme that works for all of them.
Relatively difficult to earn: Outside of a partnership with KLM, there isn’t much opportunity to earn points outside staying at an Accor hotel, which is not the same as rival scheme.
Overall Conclusion on Accor Live Limitless
Despite the complexity of the programme, if staying or considering staying in an Accor hotel the generous payback and nice little benefits make it worth signing up for, as a second stay is likely to see you receive some benefit.
If booking direct, even signing up to Classic membership appears to earn you the best rate we were able to find on personal travel.

The Accor group owns a significant number of hotel chains at different price points. Whilst you’ll earn rewards at a slightly different rate depending on where you stay (more below), this means there’s earning opportunities from brands at a real variety of price points, rather than just tipping towards the ultra-luxe.
